Go to the carb section and about the 7th thread down "Vac lines 84 KZ750 canuck super sport"will show you what needs to be removed and capped..... the fact that you have pods shows this has probably already been removed and capped off. Beautiful bike by the way.

Good News - Bad News - Good News

Ok, put on the APE block off plates and they look awesome.

Blocked off the vacuum lines and all hell broke lose.

Took off the caps and bike ran perfect with no, NO, decel popping.

I have fallen in love all over again.

Those are vents. Run tubes over the airbox so critters won't get in. B)

I put the tubes back on and just ran them towards the rear tire.

I love it. I am going to pull the baffle out tomorrow and see if there is any more popping on decel and shift.

Nice blockoff plates!

Those vent tubes need to be secure. Since you no longer have the airbox to support them, you will have to relocate them. They need to go into an area with minimal turbulence. I found out the hard way that if they fall into the wrong position, at high speeds, the turbulence can cause a vacuum which de-pressurises the bowl, and reduces fuel flow, which causes it to go lean. Securing both hoses, together, near a protected area, nea the core of the bike (battery box area, or up under the tank near the frame) eliminated the problem. I could then re-create the problem reliably to confirm that was the issue. (Confirmed it all with a wideband o2 system.)
