My logic is that since they are soft crush gaskets, i could just tighten them slightly more than the last time they were on to crush themselves into making a new seal. We'll see what happens when i fire the bike in the spring.

The ones I referred to Ive had my pipes off 3 times and no leaks I just torque them back to spec. although they are a little thicker I like them worth the money

I think I've reused mine for the last time. I'm getting popping and had a leak. Shimmed and tightened it but still a little popping. I'll order some soon.

I recall someone had a technique, where they heated the exhaust gaskets to red hot with a propane torch, then dropped them in cold water.
Not sure if that is the right procedure, but it did make them expand.

When I get my new ones, I'll have to try that with the old ones.

I think this thread might be receiving comments for different gaskets. Crushed vs flat. If it's flat I'll reuse those. Annealing the gasket may help, but from experience that's best done when new. Once the gasket is crushed, it becomes a formed in place gasket and re-alignment becomes even more critical.
