exhaust crush gaskets

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone ever reuses their exhaust crush gaskets. Its a pain in the ass to replace them every time you do an oil change...talk about an annoying design flaw. I'll either reuse the ones i had on for a month before winter or just order like 3 or 4 sets so i can quit ordering them so often.

I've reused mine for years. Some are doubled up.

I have two susie flanges on mine. FOXY  I used # 10 aluminum wire as a shim. They are deeper than the stock ones. I'll be ordering some new ones soon but will still have to keep the two shims.

I tried to reuse copper gaskets once and they leaked so I just bought a bunch so I would never be tempted to do that again. On the right side, I absolutely MUST use double gaskets (even new ones) to get a seal. I Krazy glue two together and use that.

Double them up, after crushed down! And use High Temp RTV Red, Copper or Black silicone. Plenty of that out there.
I have used high temp RTV silicone on my Harley pipes for 35 years! And never used a gasket

Say no to reusing them here. I'd rather do everything I can the first time without second guessing whether or not it'll work. But this mindset is what I've noticed that works on my ride. Will also add, the more effort put into prep, usually ends with better results. I certainly wouldn't surface the pipes, spray coat everything, then reuse the gasket with fingers crossed. My bike - at least - doesn't like it that way. Once the pipes are on hopefully it's micro adjustments from there if any. 0 down time.

My bike leaked on one pipe despite using the OEM exhaust system and brand new crush gaskets. Wasted a lot of time loosening, repositioning, tightening again, etc, but couldn't get rid of the leak. In the end I used new crush gaskets AND a fiber gasket on each port, which solved the issue.

I've reused them with success, but only if the crush washer never fell out. Once it's out, or moves, I don't think I could get it back to the original position to seal. Normally I get new ones, but if you are doing it on every oil change then...
