82 750 ltd case gasket? was created by 82kzn73521
Hello Everyone,
I have been looking for the gasket that goes between the 2 case halfs on my 82 750 ltd with no luck. I have been on ebay, partzilla and don't recal seeing one on z1enterprise but their site has been down since Christmas so I can't get back in to verify. Are there any other sources where I can find this elusive gasket? Thanks.

There isn't one. Use RTV or Three bond or the like to seal them

So is there a suitable compound that you would recommend. The thought that is still in my head is why isn't there a gasket for those 2 halfs? Ayways. Thanks for the input.

I use high temp copper silicon. Just enough to make it tacky. Yes, some use too much and clog all kinds of things. Even fill up thread holes and strip or break the cases. Form a gasket? BS.

Threebond or you can go to a dealer and get their brand Yamabond, Hondabond and I'm sure Suzuki has their's too.
My motor's put together with Hondabond because that's what we have at work but it's the same shit.

Threebond comes in various types. The gray "liquid gasket" synthetic rubber material that most people associate with Threebond, and Yamabond, Kawabond, Suzukibond, and Hondabond, comes in various formula's. Kawasaki sells TB 1105B through the dealerships but TB 1184 is the most recent aftermarket derivative.

TB 1207B is also commonly used to seal cases and is an RTV product. This material is black so it doesn't mess up the appearance of black engines. My 750E had this stuff applied from the factory when I tore down the engine. Some people bash the use of RTV but Kawasaki used the stuff (and so did I when reassembling the engine).

Or you could go to a local auto parts store and buy a sheet of gasket material near the same thickness as the factory version and use an Exacto knife to make your own.
