It has a bolt on flange like on a dirt bike. Not sure why it has to give though.

I've noted the spring attachment at the head, does anyone have a photo? I'm curious how this goes together on a stock setup.

I might be wrong about the spring setup for the delkovic ....I was thinking about the Motogpwerks S.S. pipe I bought 3 yrs. ago that's still in the box

Steve, if you look at the previous e- bay add for the MotoGP werks pipe one of the bottom pics shows the set up
you just un hook the springs & pull the header off, without having to unscrew the flange bolts

I just put this on my bike last week...So far i like it and the fitment is really good.....I took off the wrapping on the baffle and ran it like that but i didn't like it....now i just took the baffle out.... much better now :) this baffle is sooo easy to remove can be done in a minute ..... the bike still needs some tuning, but im happy with the exhaust.

Bought mine back in 81 and drove 35 miles on a Fri in a ice storm to pick it up at the UPS ware house cause I could'nt wait till Mon for delivery ........ maybe one of the most excited things about I've ever bought...... still love it even though its a little rough.

Love the color and your bike Slyde and the pipe looks outstanding on it......... after seeing this and a few green 77 KZ650s on here I've pretty much decided on green for my second set of covers and tank and am going to use the cans of yellow for something else. Good choice Wylie too I'm sure your gonna be happy with it.

I wiped mine down with oil and WD-40 mixed for years and years after every ride and it kept the rust away really well till I got lazy one or two weeks and then a little surface rust started at the flanges and grew...... a pain but consider it. ;) I also painted the inside with header paint when new...... read it helps but not sure if it that big of a deal.

Edit ..... also wanted to add I remember Jeff at Z-1 saying on here that the quality of the V and H has gone down a little and that they go threw there shipments of them and send "I think around 20 to 25% of them back"....... so even though it might be a few bucks more sounds like you could end up with a nicer product in the end.

Sorry for the late reply , I actually met a guy (a rep) from Cali I live in Colo that works for v&h he was coming to Colo for a race at thunder mountain a few miles literally from my house I had some cb750 parts he needed so I got em for cost plus his shipping so it was $260 shipped. I do have a question about the header to muffler Fitment, there's no clamp so I'm assuming it's just a slip on with no gasket ? Wouldn't there be a exhaust leak issue? Evidently not any way I'm waiting for my new header exhaust gaskets so can install I was tempted to put em on with the old ones but then I'd be asking for a leak , popping on decel n such.

So got em mounted started with 1 1/4 turns out 17.5 pilot, 120 mains cheapo pods that came with bike, runs pretty great got good throttle response. So I'm happy for the moment lol! Fitment was ok easy install. Here's a few pics don't judge too much I'm just getting started with this bike. I love the 4cyl power ...
