I've noted the spring attachment at the head, does anyone have a photo? I'm curious how this goes together on a stock setup.

you just un hook the springs & pull the header off, without having to unscrew the flange bolts

Love the color and your bike Slyde and the pipe looks outstanding on it......... after seeing this and a few green 77 KZ650s on here I've pretty much decided on green for my second set of covers and tank and am going to use the cans of yellow for something else. Good choice Wylie too I'm sure your gonna be happy with it.
I wiped mine down with oil and WD-40 mixed for years and years after every ride and it kept the rust away really well till I got lazy one or two weeks and then a little surface rust started at the flanges and grew...... a pain but consider it. I also painted the inside with header paint when new...... read it helps but not sure if it that big of a deal.
Edit ..... also wanted to add I remember Jeff at Z-1 saying on here that the quality of the V and H has gone down a little and that they go threw there shipments of them and send "I think around 20 to 25% of them back"....... so even though it might be a few bucks more sounds like you could end up with a nicer product in the end.

That's nice new GM synergy green?Slyde77 wrote: I just put this on my bike last week...So far i like it and the fitment is really good.....I took off the wrapping on the baffle and ran it like that but i didn't like it....now i just took the baffle out.... much better now this baffle is sooo easy to remove can be done in a minute ..... the bike still needs some tuning, but im happy with the exhaust.
