Zac

You can't alter the duration of the cams as this is fixed in the grind.
You can only alter the lobe centres to shift the power characteristics up or down the rev range.
If you don't have the manufacturers recommended figures for timing them you should start by dialling them in on the lobe centre figures given for the STD cams for your bike .
This may not get the best out of these cams but will give you the best shot at usable power and a starting point for further adjustment.
Looking at other performance cam figures for your bike with the same or similar lift/duration will give the best indication of where these may work the best.

If you can get a set of 750 cams and sprockets for cheap, I'd get them. At least you will be able to compare them and be riding if not sure.

Today I hooked up the degree wheel and dial indicator and dialed in the cams. I first checked the Lift at .040 and found that the intake was set at 16 BTC / 57 ADC which gave me a lobe center of 110.5 The Exhaust was at 56 bbc 18 adc which gave me a lobe center of 109. I decided to try to dial them into The Megacycle .410 cam specs since those have the same lift as what I'm working with. I managed to get the intake set square onto 20btc 50abc with a lobe center of 105 and the exhaust at 52bbc 23atc with a lobe center of 104.5. I've attached the megacycle specs below. What do you guys think? this is my first time degreeing so I want to make sure I'm on the right track before sealing er up.

Thank you for posting the Zombie tutorial Old Man Rock! I'll give it a good read and recheck my work. I was going back and forth between the cavanaughracing.com tutorial and Web cam shafts tutorial but definitely still had some questions the zombie will probably answer.

Hey kawi810 is there more info on the cam card than listed on the megacycle spec sheet I posted? How are you liking them in your bike?
