kz750 twin to kz750 four swap

Hello everyone

I have an 82 750csr twin. I have been throwing around the idea of maybe finding a 750 four cylinder and swapping it. Is it even doable? Ok I know anything is technically doable. but is it somewhat easily doable? Or am I getting into a whole bunch of fab work to make it fit?

Thanks
Eric

Why don't you just buy one?

Most likely a crap load of fab, narrower frame different motor mounts, all that fun; sell the twin buy the four.

Darn. Well maybe one day I'll take it on. Just because I'm crazy and like a good challenge.

You might concider a 900/1000 swap.
The 750 twin is a tall engine. The chain offset is the same
on the 650 and up KZs. Only possible obstacle I can see is
the spacing on the down tubes.

thank you very much.

Now, does anyone have the measurement for the spacing of the downtubes on a kz750 four and a kz900/1000?

Those tubes angle away from each other.
You will need the width and height.
