Nippondenso shortened their corporate name to Denso in 1996. You may find spark plugs marked ND or DENSO, they are from the same company. As MDawnz1 said, the Denso (ND) W24ES-U plug has a heat range equivalent to the B8ES plug. The next hotter Denso plug is the W22ES-U. Ed

okay kool, well in the havock of traffic near my house I decided to just grab some b8es plugs since I had to go out today. Will see how they run and check them when they cool down . learned my lesson about taking out hot plugs.

OK, the NEW part# is,
Denso 4030 W24ES-U

sparkplugs.com has them in stock.

And yes they are getting harder to find.
Everyone (the company's) are making plugs that last 100,000 miles in a car because they HAVE to.
What about us?

And that photo of your plug,
That never even got close to operating temperature.

I think its just the plug but I will post pictures tomorrow of what the old plugs look like and what my new plugs look like since I have 2 rides in so far on them. Only 5 minute rides around back roads but still counts since Im a crack the throttle kind of rider. Ill also will see about getting those other plugs instead of ngk. -Tyler

Imo, spark plug brand isn't relevant to the reported issues.

See my earlier post.

Good Fortune! :)

Sorry for the incorrect information, I usually only ride it for 5 minutes at a time because the bike is not legal around my area just yet. I do however let the bike idle for 15-20 minutes while Im cleaning stuff up. So far These B8ES plugs are working great. I will try the Denso 4030 plugs also when Im out and about. On another note, I have went through the system numerous times trying to make sure everything is as right as I can get it. Thanks for the help so far, Ive really learned a lot since Ive been on kzRider. Im also wondering, what do you all usually run in ur gas? Im running 93 just because I feel its better for the motor.

These are air cooled engines. Letting them idle for 15 - 20 minutes in the summer is deadly to them unless you are running an industrial size fan on them. I HIGHLY recommend you stop that practice before you destroy the engine on your bike.

I use 93 octane and it works very well in my bike, but I believe most folks use 87 or 91. Ed

I usually have it idling in my garage where its nice and cool. I noticed it was air-cooled when I first bought it  These engines run hot the minute I start it. So I can agree that the summr heat would probably kill it if it hadn't been ventilated. I don't own an industrial size fan but if I ever get the idea to buy one my local tractor supply has plunty of them. Love that place

The garage being cool or ventilated really is not sufficient to cool the engine. The fins are engineered to cool the engine by dissipating the heat to air passing across them. So when the bike sits still the heat will build up, especially in those areas which are somewhat enclosed because fresh, cool air is not moving across the fins to draw the heat away from those areas. It's your bike, so do as you see fit, but I just thought you might like to know how it works. Ed

Thanks Ed, I probably should be alittle more careful with it. Have you ever heard of someone putting a fan on there bike? I don't know how much good it would do, but it must be better than not having one. - Tyler
