Attention engine builders!! Never waste your time and money doing dyno pulls until the compression stops building ever again! Just throw in a set Of MTC pistons with their magical rings that seal instantly on start up!! Amazing!!!!

The guy I learned the dry piston trick from way back when has been building flat head fords since the 40s though, and he still pours his own babbit bearings in engine blocks.
Hes got to be pushing 90 and was stil driving his old rat rod 31 ford pick up with a hot rodded flat head when I saw him last summer. :)

My sarcastic reply was directed against MTC, not you, tried to make it obvious :)

I think you must have spoke to the tea boy or Janitor
MTC use the same XA/XC etc rings as wiseco and recommend the same gapping method and specs.

One step forward, then three backward. i had to send pistons back to manufacturer. three of the pistons the second ring groove was not cut deep enough for the rings they were 1/64 to shallow.its always something

What did mtc have to say about it?
Ive always wondered how they keep the prices on mtc so much lower than wiseco,Im wondering if they should dump more money into quality control and packaging.
Id ship the cylinder with the pistons to them so they can make to get the clearances right for the new pistons, unless they want to put your pistons on a lathe and re cut the grooves.
No sense in you having to pay to have cylinder rehoned to match different pistons. ;)

You have to be able to get the pistons to fit in the bores with the rings first before you can worry about seating them!
