Cleaned and dryed the cases, sprinkle powder all over, then started motor and looked to see where the oil tracked the powder.......also washed the motor 4 times this week trying to figure this out and now milky oil in sight glass....so dropped all the oil and going to remove filter and get it all cleaned out....

I think you are right, I have a similar oil leak and no compression on the #2 cylinder even with oil in there.

Once you know you got good oil on there, the sight glass will get milky looking if you dont go for short rides. The motor doesnt get up to temp long enough to let the motor evaporate the moisture.

My secret for sealing any paper gasket no matter who its made by,dont use on head gaskets (unless theyre copper,yours wont be)

Spray down both sides of paper gasket and let it tack up before installing gasket B)

Sure,after you replace the rings use this stuff on the new gaskets! :woohoo:

Patton- when i put my specific model in they do not show a gasket set or tach seal kit.....what am i missing?

If its a cable driven tach. then i think they are the same 77-80 kz 1000s. They quite using cable driven tachs in 81 or 82 so not sure what yours has.
