It turned out that they didn't bypass it, the wires were just dead and I got that fixed luckily.

With a good fully charged battery properly installed and connected, could remove both spark plugs from their holes in the engine head, leave the plug wires from the ignition coils connected to the spark plugs, hold the bases of the spark plugs grounded against the engine head, and then spin over the engine as if attempting to start it running, and while spinning over the engine, observe the tips of the spark plugs to determine spark quality -- look for strong blue spark, and not weak orange spark.Zachs305 wrote: Does anyone think it could be my ignition coils? Does anyone know how to check?
If there's no spark from either plug, would try this test again, using brand new spark plugs of the type specified in the factory service manual.
May ohm-test the primary winding on each ignition coil.
The resistance, measured in ohms, using an ohmmeter, should fall within factory specs.
If the primary wiring inside the coil is shorted, the ohm test may reveal a broken circuit.
But passing the ohm test doesn't guarantee that the coil isn't shorting internally after it heats up.
Kawasaki dealer service technicians may have available an "electrotester" which measures the spark producing capability of an ignition coil.
There are many reasons other than a faulty coil than can cause spark failure at the tips of the spark plugs.

5-if the points are opening and closing properly follow a, if they are malfunctioning follow b
