yep....All metals have a property called nobility. It is a measure of a metal's resistance to corrosion when in contact with another metal. A greater relative difference in nobility between the two metals in contact indicates a greater corrosion potential. Alum is a 1 while steel is a 4....so a corrosion potential is high between cyclinder and spark plug.....when you use an antisieze...it conditions the two metals and keeps them apart while creating a lubed surface that makes removal and install easy without galling. Always install plug by hand not with wrench untill it bottoms out...I would also use a torque wrench to set final torque per manual specs.
+1 !

i bought the retap kit i used the smallest one and it went in too far, i couldnt use the thing that i should hit with a hammer, i got microscopic shavings in the cylinder but it is aluminum pistons vs steel sleeves and aluminum shavings.

Hey don't worry, we aren't gonna badger you like Vince would. Looks like you used the PermaPlug kit.
Never used that one, but it's pretty much the same as the PermaCoil and Heli-Coil kits. They all work the same. Both the HeliCoil and PermCoil taps have a longer pilot than that one.
I've had great luck keeping the chips out of the engine using thread cutting wax. Once you pack the flutes with this stuff, nearly all the chips are created past the pilot section, so the wax holds them up higher on the tap. Good stuff.

also there is a lot missing from that link. a good place to check is your local library website in the reference databases. although it is similar there is really no text missing.
