I found a couple one at z1 30mm and vented, and found another not vented, but there both labeled for 900's and 1000's

Years ago i was going to modify the starter motor end caps off a 900/1000 starter motor to use as a plug so I could mount the cover back over starter hole, maybe Ill get to it some day!

the stm sure looks nice, but at 19$ i think ill ask my friend with a lathe for another favor like i did last time...
in any case dont think that any of those plugs woul pass tech inspection at the race track anyyway
grazie mille

Gonna mesh with the motor. And hope the screw in the middle makes it work like a expansion plug. Not sure yet.

as they are, there's nothing better than turning my plug with an o-ring (can re-use the one form the starter itself if skimping) and securing it with a proper safety wired screw, IMHO of course
re using the starter cover sounds kinda cool, but you have to plug its hole too and then you are left with the task of securing it to the cases. too much trouble in my book.
