Possibly from lack of oil - possibly why there was scoring on the cam bearing too?

It did smell pretty burnt(oil) inside the valve cover when I removed it. So, any other reason for that besides a plugged oil passage?

Low pressure, low oil, blocked passage.

Another possibility could be from running with fuel-contaminated oil.

The oil did smell like fuel, what are my possibilities with that. I thought maybe it was flooded because they tried to start it quite a bit with bad gas and couldn't get it running.

And not run the engine until all float valves are properly functioning.
