I figure you guys (gals?) will appreciate this! 
Got a new pipe built for my KZ1000 yesterday. It was a bit of a shock when my buddy asked if I was interested in have this done. It was a "no brainer" as far as I was concerned! :woohoo:

Any potential passengers must have really short legs as the passenger pegs are super high! :laugh: My 3 yr old grandson would be a perfect fit! There wouldn't be any need for a heat shield! 
It's a race-type pipe, so there is no oil/filter access without removing the pipe. It is a slip fit with spring retainers, so removal is a lot quicker/easier than bolt on pipes.
