I supose it could also be the oil-pan gasket too, but it looks like the oil is coming from higher up (out of photo).
To really find what is leaking, remove the sprocket cover, take the chain off.
Hit the whole area with some engine degreaser and rinse off lightly with water.
Then run the bike on a center stand for a little while and see if the oil leak reveals itself.
Once again, not difficlut, but time consuming.

Not sure.djplatinum50 wrote: okay ill give that a try this weekend. Do you think it would be wise to just buy a whole engine gasket kit, and just replace all of that?
I think it would be cheaper to get the seals separately, but I haven't looked into it.
Also, very carefully remove the clutch pushrod and make sure it's straight. There is a ball bearing at the other end which may or may not come out with the push rod, so make sure to catch it if it comes out.

But it sounds like there may be other issues if you're geting black smoke. Maybe the main is too big, or the throttle stop is set too far beyond 100% open, or maybe there is a float level or float valve issue. If anything it should have been pretty lean. I would expect you should be on the 3rd clip from the top on the needle.
This set will do the pilots and the mains up to 99.
