I still have the stock cam chain tensioner so I'd throw an APE one in, what else should I do? I like to line my ducks up in a row before I shoot them haha. Right now I'm rocking a Kerker with a street baffle- if I went to a 1015, I'd probably punch it out to a comp baffle. Also, I'd swap the VM26s for VM28s or maybe CR29s.
Bear in mind this is my daily driver. Yes, I try to ride it every day.

The ZRX-11/12s have my eye though. I REALLY like the new Z1000 (Not the Ninja 1000), but I don't know if I'd want to purchase a brand new bike, but prices are coming down for last years's model.

Oh nice! Did you keep the stock cams and VM26s? Did you do any other modifications/upgrades other than boring the sleeves? Oil cooler? What grade gas do you run, premium?

I have run 26's,28's and 34's. I will have this engine installed next week and I will be running 34's.
I will have a hand ported head. I just cleaned the casting flaws.
I did run a oil cooler for several years but I removed it three or four years ago.
I ran hi-test gasoline. Roy

Anyone and their 16-year old brother can go out and buy a ZRX, ZX, GSX, Katana, Ninja, blah, blah, blah. Not anyone can build a 35-year old bike the exact way they want to.
I am extremely biased, but I think Z1's are simply one of the most beautiful bikes on the Earth. Not too flashy, not ugly, not "sharp," everything just seems to look good about these bikes. If I did a 1075 kit, I'd do it the right way: porting, cams, smoothies, Yosh pipe , Lesters, the works. Guess I'll save my $ for a project bike for now.
