It was the coil for 1 and 4. And I didn't tighten it hard, it wasn't even all the way tight. Also, the coil was warm when I was switching wires. And my battery died really fast, and I did very little cranking.

I've got an extra coil from my 900 but I dont know if its compatable, possibly I'll check tomorrow
sounds like u had a bad coil anyway, when they get really hot that usually means they've gone bad, u nay have just gotten lucky and found ur problem

Ive got a set of working factory coils from a KZ1000.Yours for the postage if Stonemasters doesnt work.bj

that would probably work out better, i got inlaws coming into town for the next few days and it would be difficult from my end until early next week

depends on the ohms, I believe it said stock is 5 and 3 needed resistor correct ???/
