ever worked on a turbo motor? exhuast side of the head makes a hell of a differance depending on situationDont know what specs these cams are but i know some jap 4 cylinder bikes have intake cams with more lift/duration than the ex cam, people run 2 intakes in busas, zzrs etc.I dont think there is much gain myself was always told exhaust doesnt have as much effect on producing power in an engine as the intake side of things done, dont know if thats bad advice or what but ex valves always seem to be smaller than intakes maybe fuel in flows more important than waste out?
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

I am working on a mild hop on one of these motors. Considering getting cams reground is $600-$700 Im hoping to do this swap. I have seen people say they have done it but i cant find anything documenting the process. I plan on cutting off the tach gear and putting the exhaust on the intake.
Intake : 1.30" base .318" lift
Exhaust : 1.27" base .38"lift
i don't really know how i should go about doing this. I'm going to put the intake sprocket on the exhaust. how do i know where to time the lobe center? how do i proceed?

Or note where the lobe on the intake is located at TDC.
Also mark on the advancer or flywheel where the stock intake closes
and compare that to the 'new' intake cam. This will concern dynamic c/r
cranking compression

It looks like the stock centerline is 100* compared to 110* for a KZ900/1000.
Which would be good for dynamic compression. But there is not enough
lift and duration. It can not breath.
