Im Down with the wack

Dude put that puny impact on high, smoke a dube wile you heat it up and wack the he!! out of it while trying to turn the bolt with the impact .

Some heat from cuting torch but dont melt any thing!!!
Hit the back side with a 6 pounder while your buddy holds the impact !

If that dont take it seek profesional help " machine shop"

compressor isn't big enough for the job & oiling the air gun will increase it's torque.......

I agree with Larry, I have the same impact gun and it has more balls than that one has when I set it on low impact. You don't have enough air going into it or you have it set on the low setting.

Won't more torque just strip out the threads? The rotor seems so tight that it would require more torque to remove it than the rotor threads could handle.

I went out and got a propane torch today. I played with the compressor and air gin today finding a highest torque setting, I tried it on all 4 settings, and I oil the gun everyday I use it. I went through the whole can of propane and it didn't do squat. I got my ratchet and a long cheater on it and even after heating it up as much as that torch could do, and subsequently getting pissed off and smashing it with the back of an axe it didn't come off. Needless to say the rotor is toast. I am going to cut the fucking thing off with the die grinder I got. I snuck over to my neighbors and borrowed (stole) another can of propane to try to take the cs nut off so I can split the cases and get to work on the internals. Again, so matter how much heat or what setting the gun is on the nut is on there. The PO must have used some crazy soviet red loctite or some shit. Again, I will cut that off too. This is just making me more anxious to make this motor perfect...thank Zeus I have another bike to ride!

BTW, my compressor is big enough I think, the motor is a big honking 2 horse, the motor and pump are mounted on a small 8 gallon tank, but I think that would not affect the CFM's would it? I oiled the pump when I got the compressor too, so it is working good. There are 4 settings on the gun, 4 spins the fastest, and 1 spins really slow. Is this like on an electric drill where the slower spinning has more torque? I never used one of these before this...

Presuming this means used an axe to strike end of tightened puller bolt with flat side of axe head.

Needless to say the rotor is toast --- guessing this means axe missed the bolt head and hit the rotor.

Don't recall seeing an axe in the Harley tool catalog.

Ought to be thinking John Henry, not Paul Bunyan. :lol:
