hi,advice please! my stock camwheels are suffering from the rubber pads breaking down,is it ok to remove all the rubber and keep using them ??? cheers oldster.forgot to mention bike is an z900.

Are you referring to the cam sprockets themselves or the idler wheels?

The idler wheels should be replaced if the rubber is deteriorating. It's most likely time for the cam chain to be replaced as well.

Liska idlers can save you money over OEM idlers. I use them all the time in rebuilds.

hi,its the actual sprockets on the cams,am scared that some of the rubbers going to fall off into motor, it's already breaking up !

It's ok to remove the rubber. It's only there to quieten the camchain.
Aftermarket sprockets don't have it at all.
Just remember to put a center pop mark to identify the inlets 28 pin mark for future timing checks.
