Thar engine came off a Z1 Classic near the end of the production run.

Does it still have the fuel injected head on it?

That is MarkII engine. You can't go wrong there. Roy

The fuel injection ports make nice nitrous ports. :woohoo:

I sold a fuelie head to a guy once and he was going to put nozzles for the laughing gas. It sold for over $200.00 with broken fins. Roy

wow thats one way to remove a motor! :S :laugh: anyway by the serial number id guess 77 bottem end with a 1000g fuelie topend.whats left of frame apears to be 79-80 also judging from remote mc but its hard telling.looks like an old set of 28s also B) it might of turned over when he stuck it in the corner.hard telling dump some trans fluid down spark plug holes and let her sit a while,might come apart easier B)
Still recovering,some days are better than others.

It definitely has been opened up at some time ,evident by the gooped up silicone around the oil pan and cam cover. So is this not the original head for this motor? The carbs look like someone beat the sh*t out of the inlet side of them.

is the 3rd number after the T a 0 or a G ?if thats a G its probably an origional 1980 fuelie motor,which should also make it a MKII motor with good crank and cases which might be better foundation for your dragbike.it makes sense that its a G series with those engine covers anyway,check that number again. B)

Well after all the hoopla Its come down to me needing to sell this engine. I will be having surgery on my shoulder in 2 weeks and I won't be able to ride for 6 months and I need a truck, so it will be in the for sale section soon.
