here is what the fellow said about it.
REPLIKAMASCHINEN HEADWORK REVEALED-- A few pictures of the old style PSM 1550 cylinder head that I had been working on. I have flow tested, re-contoured, installed new guides and cut new seats, etc.

i think it would be mostly air to try that with a stock casting.

If you look really close at the bottom right hand corner of the 2nd pic it looks like "VHMS" is stamped into the casting meaning it's an aftermarket head. Did you also notice the GS style intake boots as opposed to the normal 2 bolt Kz style boot?
Later, Doug
Looks like a V & H head to me. Quite common to do the Zuk boots/intake to PSM heads. The intake runners also have a straighter shot to the combustion chambers, I know a couple of people who have done this mod to Kaw heads- good machinists & fabricators.

Your street ride can't use it for several reasons. For serious drag racing only.

Is that the old MTC design? If so, was it taken over by Ward?

These heads have the valve angles spread so they can get 46/38mm valves in it.
This means they can only be used with 85 mm bores. We did one kawasaki at 84, but the intake valve pocket on thew piston almost went into the top ring land.
These heads could not be used on the street because the ports are so large that the motors won't hardly run under 8000 rpm. Racers using these heads leave at 10,000 and shift at 13,000. Valve springs are good for the entire weekend.
