That was my Kerker back in 78/79. Good looking system but lost a lot of cornering clearance. Had a custum exhaust made by "Lehnhart" which came up on the left side of the bike and allowed access to the oilfilter. I have to look for some old pics.

OK here is more info on the Bassani for Z1 pipe ,
First, ALL of Mcdroid's #'s are right on ,
But I have some more for you ,
At the head fittings, where it contacts the gasket,
ID 1.425"
Collector ID 2.9"
Collector inner ID 2.150"
Mid pipe ID 2.90"
This pipe is almost 30 years old and has 50.000 miles on it and getting pretty beat ..........
I told you there was some trick inside this pipe .

Let me add to MDawnZ1's data:
Measurements are at the head fitting at the gasket.
Mac ID 1 3/8" OD 1 1/2"
Kerker ID 1 1/4" OD 1 1/2"
Note the Bassani has a larger ID than either the Mac or Kerker.

MDawnz1 ,that collector does seem odd . any thoughts on why? the sound wave will expand there and be compressed by atmospheric preasure. Thats a bad thing. thats why the megaphone was suposed to help,it would expand slower at a controlled rate which would increse speed? Just like the shape at the end of a rocket.
I dont know why they say that theory worked but the modern pipes dont use it.
This is all very interesting.:S
