When you say bracket bike. Are you saying "bracket bike ridden on the street" or "bracket bike only"? Then I would ask, how fast? Big budget or small?

Probably street and track use. I'd be happy to get 10's in the 1/4. I have a small budget but have lots of parts from collecting over the years. :)

i've always liked that bike it sits right and looks good and flatout rips, mid to low 9's with a little 1045 cc motor is very impressive to say the least my old 1045 set-up ran 10.40's in calgary at 3720 ft. regularly in misson at 60 ft above sealevel it ran low 10.20's and it was a street compression motor so with the right combo a small motor can really rip. for years most of my motors where budget engines they were built with whatever parts i could scroungup in fact the first new pistons i ever bought was last year about the only parts i ever bought new were valve springs because a small engine needs lot's of rpm to work good.i always made sure my cranks were good before they got welded i have been running the same set of cams for over 15 years i've always done my own head work ijust made sure every thing i put together was in as good a condition as possible these small engines like lot's of rpm. for the first 10 years i raced i only had high a single stage high end rev limiter set at 11500 rpm and i would launch the bike off the high end they will take it i won a lot of races with that combo and i beat a lot of high dollar bikes with that combo, once you get a good package together try to keep it that way because the expense and the upkeep can get to you other wise. most of all have fun with it.that is what they are for. and don't make the same mistake i did i wanted to go faster so i started building a new combo bigger badder better but in the meantime i had taken my old bike apart i was without a race bike for three years because of it. now i have two so that won't happen again.

I have some used 1105 Wiseco's & these new HA 1000 pistons that I know of. For cams, I have Andrews 2x and some monster unknown cams. They are in a kz900 with lots of aluminum removed for clearance + has shim under buckets. Largest carbs are 34cv's & 29 smoothbores.

The Andrews 2x (.360"/258*@.030") with the 1000cc or 1105cc pistons and 29mm carbs, would make a very nice streetable bike. Those are small mid range cams that, could use shim on top buckets. The 29's is all the fuel you will need for either motor. You could build something simple and nice, at a low price and enjoy it for years.............

PS- The andrews cams with the 1000cc pistons would put you close to the low 11's, and with the 1105cc pistons, maybe high 10's (with good riding skills and tuning)

Just got some info. on the other high lift cams. Turns out they are made by Mega Cycle. The lift is .417, duration is 268. What would be a good combo for those?

Under the Megacycle description & application, it says.
Road race/Drag race, use 12:1 or more compression. Full power top end, some added mid range. Shim on top okay...

It doesn't sound like they are for street use. The loss of botton end and some midrange, may not benifit you......If you want to race, add more compression and head work.
