Oops! modprod is correct the 1015 sleeve covers sleeves to 1075 which is drop in for Kawasaki stock 1000+ motors. Wiseco claims the 900 can be bored out to 1045 but as modprod mentions it is probably not generally reccommended to bore over 1015.

Sorry I was half asleep when I read the post. ;)

The 1075 is a good engine still using the 903 sleeve size even though it's Wiseco. The next bore size starts around 1100 just FYI if you ever intend putting your bike on the track.

Sorry 1075will "not" work in 903 sleeves but will in a stock 1000 block 1015 is the most you can go in a stock 900 block

Why yes...it is the yellow catalog. Have a couple old catalogs that I use for reference from time to time.

Biggest bore in 903 cylinder is 1015 and you can go to 1105 in 1015 cylinders although at 1105, the cylinder walls can get a little thin. Most stay with the 1075. Not much difference between 1075 and 1105 but the 1075 helps keep cylinder in check.

Andrews cams... those cams I have heard more people talk about since I was a kid. Those have to be great cams and the setup for a good running street bike as I have heard get the 3x cams and your golden. My neighbor had those for his z1. The blue boar. Those are like the 29 smooth bores and the yosh pipe..... ya I like to have that setup for my motor for sure. I think I read you have the whole 1015 motor right? Not just the upper part. or a 1075 built from the 900 motor. I can't wait to see how my bike goes with the 1075 10.5 to 1 JE pistons and I think the cam will be a bit wild for the street but not too big to have to underbucket.

I have the Mark II engine. I think my compression is 12/1. I could be wrong. But the domes are way up there. I can't run low grade gas.

I borrowed the money from my bank to rebuild the engine and they wanted to know how much the bike was worth and i told him if he loaned me $2500.00 i guess it would be worth $2500.00. He gave me the money. Roy

3X cams have a lot of overlap. They can be valve benders if the valves are not sunk or you miss a shift without a rev limiter. They pull like a freight train from 5K up.

They are one of the worst grinds to setup for oversize valves because they have a 1.110 base circle combined with a lot of overlap lift.

Andrews should have made them with a smaller base circle IMO.

Lol. Gotta love it. Them bankers are something. They lent an old lady here at the hollographic museum a million dollars for which she kindly gave most of it to two associates that promised her a new type of hollographic tv and the loan officer is the same guy who financially supported Obama. Needless to say they gave her that loan fully knowing that she would never be able to pay it back no matter how hard she tried. The point? Well, I guess her building happened to come up in to the boom that all these wonderful nice people on the North Side spent 5 times a buildings worth to own so they could live in that "circle" of people who overspent. Happy contractors became very affluent I am sure. At any rate her building on the corner was at the time worth 3 Million dollars and you know what? It was paid for I believe.

Ahhhhh. Well there it is. The real reason why everyone loved those cams. That whole freight train effect. lol That will put a smile on everyone's face including the not so easily scared by acceleration type. Most guys probably only thought of the whole acceleration curve and not so much about destroying their engines. So much that I have to learn about stuff.
