I'll definitely give it a go. Just have to find a good place to do it. Hard to find anywhere around here to open it up like that, all curves and corners. Most of my riding is pretty conservative but it's nice to know that the power is there when needed (or wanted).

Bike does feel great though, feels completely different than last fall.

I've found mine will pull 70+mph in third and 95 in 4th at about 8500-9000 RPM. The disappointing thing with my gearing and motor is that in 5th I still get about 95-98 before running out of road. I found this though as 4th gear was better for passing when I found passing in 5th got me to 90, but not in time to make it.

Anyways, have fun with it and let us know how it goes when you find a mile or two of clear, cornerless roads.

Herr:

Why dont you get out on the outer ring road heading out of town and wind her out. There should be plenty of time to *$#% your pants and still take a few deep breaths before you reach the exit.

I would also find torbay road tempting.

I wish I could get to ride through middle cove, outer cove and torbay, must be fun on the KZ.

Rockin\' a KZ650B2 since 2007 and a KZ 1000E since 2008
