how much of a spacer do you need under cylinder to drop from 10.25:1 to around 9:1 ?????;)

using a spacer plate to lower compression is the wrong way. that will greatly increase quench height. modify the combustion chambers to make them a bit bigger to drop compression, or get the right pistons, or get the j head
i just put together a 1287 kit on my ninja(first drive on the road today). if you just drop in the piston kit and do no other changes its 13:1 CR (stock 12.2) i had the head milled .005 and i removed the block shim/basegasket (.010) that would have put CR close to 14:1, but i did some combustion chamber work to increase flow at low valve lift and that dropped my CR back down to 12.47:1

techno man! problem is he doesnt want to use j-head,and carving on combustion chamber that much would make the head worthless on a differant motor.so how is that blue misile of yours running these days?;)
