have you checked the compression?not by seeing if it will blow your thumb off the hole,with a guage.low compression can cause the problems you are talking about.

I think you have a lot os issues going on,,
what is the condtion of the battery

since it has not been running I think the carbs need a goog cleaning and adj.

The battery is brand spankin new.


The carbs are completely rebuilt, once, twice, a thousand times. They aren't clogged and they are together correctly.


Funny thing is, is about 2 weeks ago it was running on 3 cylinders, and was running AWESOME, and I adjusted the points and also adjusted the valves on cyl 2 (cyl 2 was the one that wasn't firing), and every since I got it all back together, it's been having these problems. COuld it be the points possibly? All the vavles are within spec, the tighest one being .003 and the loosest one being .007; I was told the spec was between .002 and .008.
