Interesting discussion.

...Then you have people like me who only wrap the headers because it looks better than rust/black/rust... ;)

There's some paint call Black Velvet /Por 15 holds perty good I use it to cover up the rap marks on the header. Por makes some very good paints for rust to. I use it on car frames and more, The the bike I have listed here, I painted the frame with was Por 15. I some parts small I powder coat my self not hard to do, and polish the front forks and KZ1000 motor covers. Plus have some lift over I polish I may sale to.
