The cat-converter clogged up on my AMC Concord back when I was in college; started the car in the early AM in the winter to let it warm up, when I went out to get in it to go to work, it looked like an alien space craft...glowing bright red under the car...I got down to take a look and couldn't believe that converter was glowing bright red...almost caught the car on fire...cool...sort of.

Hey George........I believe a guy over at www.cyclemadness.com named zdoc has his pipes C coated. Look him up..........he has a wealth of info on these old Z's. He's an old dude........like 55.

Otakar, not to steal a thread, but I,ve a 81 GS1100 (1165) cammed &flowed, which I roadraced w 33 smooth bores. upon retiring it from racing couldn't make it behave on street. a set of 36 slingshots from a GSXR750 not only made it tractible, but added @ 5 hp. intakes from Schnitz racing and oval K&N,s make it one of my favorite rides. G
