I am new to all this, but i can tel you there is an outfit in Seattle Washington, run by bike people. They do s real nice job. The Racers use the company, I wish I could remember the name. Anyway, the real difference, is they are riders, they will do car stuff, but stick to bikes. They must do well because they sponsor plenty of riders at the track.
Car guys are happy with all kinds of junk, bikes are different. Soo if you send your stuff to a car outfit, you get car results.
I would be willing to pay 200-250 if the pipe turned out well. Prep is everything. Rust will stay under the coating, and eventually work to the surface.
I am planning on sending the pipe for my KZ in, but I know if I don't do the prep work, some kid making 10 bucks an hour will blast it, while listening to an Ipod.
If i remember correctly it was about 275 in Seattle last time I checked. My last bike (CBR 900RR)pipe was coated by the Seattle company, it help up well for ten years.
Goos luck.

Although close, I still don't have my project running yet so I don't know how well it will hold up under use.
My guy feeling is that it will be fine. The coating is tough as nails.

At any rate, no complaints from me; additionally I have two friends who run turbo bikes (Suzukis, so they don't count;) ) and they both got their collector spider pipes coated by JettHott and no problems there, either. I prepped one of those guys's pipe and I didn't prep the other one (the one I didn't prep stays in a heated garage).
On the "my thoughts" frontier, I'm with sean30306: WG, you tell us what it's going to cost. And I'm getting ready to do a full Kerker pipe off my ELR clone, so I am an interested party looking at February for my pipe conditioning.

I'm searching my area, Southern Ontario, for an exhaust Ceramic Coater. I've got a few I'm looking at.
I'll let you know the costs involved.
Best one I've found is just outside Windsor in Ruscom, Ontario.

Got it back today.
The pipes are pitted in some areas, as the rust was pritty bad. I made some crude attempts to paint it over the years, and decided to do it this way to prolong it's life. Never noticed that dent in pipe #2. Guess the rust helped hide it.
Cost me $200.

Looks like polished aluminum supposedly. He quoted me a price of $175.
OR, there's a regular powder coater just down the road from me that will do mine in gloss black for $65.

Because MAC is junk.
By the way, why is the Kerker so much more expensive than the Mac?
