Has Dyna Coils and Dyna S ignition
Bike ran great for 3 years.
I parked it in July after a long ride and let it sit for three months.
In October I started the bike and it ran funny. Looked at the plugs: #1 was wet with oil. At some point I will have to change the valve seals.
I pulled all the plugs to inspect them, and replaced the oil covered plug in cylinder #1. I didnt put the spark plug WIRES back in the correct firing order!!
For 3 weeks I struggled with why pipes 1 and 2 would not get hot. I pulled the carbs. Mostly they were clean. I was pretty impressed with how clean they were.
Put the carbs back on and got the same problem: backfiring and cylinders 1 and 2 not firing.
Called Dynatek.
The tech said the bike is put of phase and to fix the problem I should reverse the spark plug wire order.
So I changed the spark plug wire order from the Left Hand Coil going to #1 and #4 to #2 and #3 and vice versa on the Right Hand Coil. Now the BIKE RUNS LIKE A CHAMP!
Below is a pic of it today. Thanks to all the members of the forum who were civil, non-argumentative, and who sought to help. You know who you are.
I am very very happy the bike is running. Its a great feeling:

Thanks for responding.
As you are a moderator, I dont have to tell you, this forum is about Kawasakis, not ppl. I prefer you see the bike.
I hope its good weather where you are. I will be out riding on the bike today.
Have a great weekend.

This is a forum about motorcycles.I know whose bike that is. It was so familiar to me.
Perhaps your posts belongs in a "general discussion" area where posts like this are more appropriate, and not in "engine!"
I am thankful the bike is running well and thankful to the people in this forum who chimed in to help.
It is my hope that anyone who may encounter the same issue, will find this post helpful.
Have a great weekend
