I was 14 and an airplane nut, not a bike nut yet. so I don't remember if the bike was debadged or not and who was promoting it. It was most likely a local dealer so I imagine it wasn't debadged.

I would agree with you... but what ever you think og the movie or Tom Cruise, the GPz900r became immortalized by that film.
It didn't need it though, it would have stood the test of time on its own if you ask me...

this same ad has been on craigslist 2 or 3 years now. Even the same pictures!
I am sure he is just referencing to the same model cycle in movie!
I'd buy it for a $100 maybe for an ebay parts inventory sell.

Not a huge Cruise fan either but have enough cash in my home theater and stack of sub woofers to almost buy a new Ninja...... this movie really makes the speakers come alive and the folks next door wonder if were under attack. :laugh:
