Found a sweet 75 z1 today!!

I was at BALTIMORE cycle Salvage the today,first time there..cool place..I was looking at z9 front-end for my kz..out of the corner of my eye I see this complete unmolested z1..surrounded by raped cycles...$.4000.00 cash offer wouldn't buy it.. Dean the owner said it has 3000 original miles,on it....wow. original tires.s o anyone looking for a very nice ride..have at it..paint,everything looked excellent...

did he mention a price ?

He simply told me$ 4000 wouldn't buy it but did say if he couldn't sell it he'd make more parting out on eBay....I said Man you can't do that...yea he'd sell it..IMO..go for it bro totally stock.. surface rust in pipes.. otherwise very nice..

I think most members on here share my opinion that we don't do a profit/loss analysis before starting a project. If I did, I would have done 0 projects. I've been fortunate that I could probably break even on most of my restorations (if I ever chose to sell them). However, the reward for me is not measured in Dollar$. Your numbers aren't even close, but I'll go with them. $4K purchase and $1K parts for a total investment of $5K . KBB sale value of $9K. That's a 56% ROI! Beats the hell out of anything else in my portfolio.
