The Kaw site should recognize the vin. The c.c. site left out one "1" in the frame number (vin).martin_csr wrote:

So sadly I made the decision to let the bike go i hate to let it go but after working on it a bit it seems like this bike was built from junkyard parts or numerous bikes so I may salvage what I can off it and sell it for parts. One think I like are the spoked wheels and Im gonna try to see if I can use them on my other bobber.this is my first bike I built a 1980 honda cm 400t if anyone knows the diameter of the front and rear axles that would be great since they are both cable driven speedos I can make ot work somehow.

If needed, you could swap out the bearings to mate the axle to the wheel --- bearing OD to fit the wheel & ID for the axle.
From the wheel bearing numbers at Kawasaki.com & using a bearing chart from Dans MC site,
the Fr ID = 15mm & the Rr = 17mm. ..... Partzilla should have the bearing numbers for both models.

So sadly this is where my adventure ends I sold the bike but it went to a much better owner he works at a motorcycle shop and will have her fixed up and back on the road. Maybe if another twin comes around I'll pick it up til then I'll ride my faithful little honda til then
