Bell Bullit

I give it 3.5 stars overall.

As far as look - it gets 5 stars.
Vision - 5 stars
Airflow - 3 stars due to not being able to close vents
windnoise over 50mph - 1 star

When I bought my first bike many years ago, I was told " If youve got a 10dollar head get a 10 dollar helmet" I go for comfort and function.

The advertising dude that came up with that slogan belongs in the motorcycle hall of fame. Can't remember how many times I've heard this repeated over the years.

As far as the real world is concern, there is no connection to the cost of a helmet to safety. As long as the helmet meets standard testing protocol you can purchase with confidence.

hello people; I am looking at the Bell Bullet thanks for the input. I liked it for the large opening. Gnole what shield are you using? I wonder if the bubble shield would work better at hi way speeds?

I've got a Simpson street bandit, black visor and iconic timeless design, great for sunnny days. Useless for serious work, the visor is too narrow for behind vision, and the aerodynamics of the 'star wars' design makes it lift at over 90 mph. But that is my GPz bike 'face'.

For a 'proper' street legal helmet i like the Arias, but accepted above there is a lot of badge engineering going on and the cost/safety ratio seems blurred. Spend $50 extra at the factory for a flash paintjob andit is another $300 after duties, taxesand dealer margins.

If my head is worth a potential £1 million to an insurers, where do I find a crash helmet? Some nice hats in the Tower of London, one previous owner, good condition.

I have a G Max skid lid. It fits well, doesn't lift and has good side vision. It has a changeable clear face shield and visor. Also has a built in tinted eye protection. It slides down like on the Air Force helmets. There is also a add on break light kit for $65 and a detachable chin guard. The helmet cost $90 without the add ons. The face shield came with it and I use it during the winter rides.

I have an HJC modular that is very well made, quiet and convenient for commuting. I have an Arai for touring and track days. I had a car back out in front of me in 2012, I ended up with my head under the car so full face only.

I'm still wearing my KBC VR-1 and think it is very good... I hate the idea of spending another $35.00 for a visor shield though.
