Rich’s Moriwaki 1980 project. - KZRider Forum - KZRider, KZ, Z1 & Z Motorcycle Enthusiast's Forum If there was ever a story of “dogged determination” and a refusal to compromise this is it. Started in 2011 almost finished Dec 2018 with final tuning in 2023. With several gaps along the way (not least because there was 400mls between Rich and his build)The details are within the build thread but the headlines are
  • 1197 big bore
  • Head by Larry C
  • Hydraulic clutch
  • 6 speed trans
  • RS34’s
  • Mono-shock and front end from a GSXR with custom tree’s
  • A gazillion super trick “one off” parts (too many to mention)
I first approached Rich ref BOTM in Dec 2023 (the first time I saw this stunner) but due to his insane work life it’s taken until now to put it together !!Initially completion was expected by “spring 2012” (I know that feeling !!) by mid 2012 Rich “hit that wall” and questioned the future of the project but thankfully with support from the membership he pushed through the dark times. Anyway I’ll let the pictures do the talking 😊
