Believe me.....I'm not attempting to thwart your ideas or derail this topic. It's just that sometimes the right tool for the job is really not expensive
Larry, that is so awesome! I have been thinking about making my own tool for the last couple of years. Only because the special tools I have seen were about a $130.00 or so. As a matter of fact, last time I had my head off, I avoided doing the valves due to the extra cost (but also didn't have the time). But for $16.99 I'm picking up one of these bad boys this week. Even if don't get around to using it this year.

Getting keepers out is pretty easy. It's putting them in that's harder. I like to have the whole area open so I can get at the valve stem tip from both sides.
Just Google Valve Spring Compressor...they're out there and very affordable.

I will be doing some more videos.
I'm going to do:
1. Checking Cam Bearings Clearance using plastic gauge.
2. Checking and Adjusting Valve Clearance - Shim On Top.
3. Installing Pistons into Jug. No Compressor. How To RTV Center Gasket Slot, for One-Piece Gasket.
4. Installing Head, Cam Rollers - Rubbers.
5. Installing Cams to 28th Chain Pin.
6. Cam Timing - Lobe Center.
Should be getting one up soon.
