What about once a week, having a Tech Night.

A person would volunteer and upload a how to video showing the basic to advanced process based on a topic they picked and that was posted lets say, 5 days in-advance.

For example: 5 days before the tech night date, it would be my turn to post a video on the subject I picked. The subject I picked would be how to check and adjust valve clearance on a Kawasaki KZ-1000

At a pre arranged time the video would be uploaded or posted for viewing and after it was viewed, the forum viewer would be invited to join a session of chat below the video link.

In a respectful manner, the in's and out's and different ways of doing the task or process could be discussed and bounced back and forth.

It would be a chance to have video and conversation thread in one place, easy to find for future reference. It would be nice for new or novice members. The Tech Night subjects might be saved in a Tech Night file for easy searching.

Clutch adjustment, Replacing clutch pack, timing a Kz 1000 with a Dyna-s, Proper way to install Dyna 3.0 ohm coils. How to check cam bearing clearance with plastic gauge.........Just a few subjects.

Just a thought? Spencer

That would be awesome! I don't have much advice to give that I could certainly benefit from those who do.

Great idea, I hope it becomes a reality too, I for one learn more from watching it being done than by reading instructions.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Well I have two brain cells upstairs, sometimes they bump into each other and a light comes on and an idea comes out.

On a video format, that is way above my pay grade, I will leave that to the tech guys. Really got lost on computer's and such around 1999 or so.

I still use a flip phone?

I still have my flip phone too. Lol. I love the video ideas. They could be uploaded to youtube and just use links or something. I'm not a tech savvy computer guy either. Every one that has been mentioned, I need to be shown. I'll do some paint and body ones when it warms up.

I'd like to learn how to download a video from my cheap canon digital camera for starters, and if it could produce decent quality video to view. Pics are great...but video?

Lets get this going guys. This is a wonderful idea. A video is way better than reading a how to. Be great to have the video links as stickys at the top of the appropriate section.
