I so want a retro 3/4 helmet for my KZ build. Would get it kinda "vintage" painted to match the bike build. Where I stopped, was that I did some research into motorcycle accidents and head trauma, and 60% of impact damage was caused to the chin to the bridge of the nose area. Right where these helmets do not protect.....so I bought a full face that I will paint... Too bad....

Surely you have seen Nicky Hayden's helmet... full face and painted to look like an open faced helmet?
Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

dang Puffin those helmets are right on the money! the translation on the site is kinda confusing although they look legit.
Cory - I have seen a couple motorcycle accidents where a full face would have been beneficial. one was a good friend crashing a scooter at 10mph and knocking out 8 of his front teeth. the worst was in vietnam when a truck clipped a scooter and the driver (wearing a brain bucket) slid on his face along the pavement, I only wear full face helmets after that.

Used to have Bell's which were good helmets back then. Haven't had one in many moons though. Tried a Simpson Bandit and gave it to brother. I thought it was extremely noisy. Made more for a car where wind noise really isn't an issue but brother really liked it. Now I have been using Shoie 1000 or whatever it is. Really like it. Good fit and quiet and not one of those high-tech looking jobs. Simple and effective. But helmets are like most things...you have to find the one that "fits" you.
