Shit load of bobbed projects that never were completed of course, too bad....
I've been looking for an SL350 (LUV'd them) but for a crappy/non running/rusted one they still want $1500.... And they're hard to find yet....
This one I'd luv to get but for $3200, hell I can find a Z1 hopefully.... Granted wouldn't already be primo'd out but damn....

this place is evidence of this formula...guy buys kz650-750-400-250 from his neighbor/uncle/guy at work for....300...500....100....and then gets out a torch and starts whaking and welding...taking breaks to beat his meat and watch o.c choppers and then runs down and gets some spray cans....another kz...bites the dust...
rides it for a month and then puts it on craiglist ...because he has learned what some already know....looking cool...sucks to try and ride around....in the end ...the guy on the 80's goldwing down the street is the real cool one

As much as I've enjoyed the customization of a build, it's a shit load of work & time where you truly have to be in the right frame of mind to complete...
With that said, stock from here on out is the game plan....
There, you happy now...?

just saying the sale sites and c-list are littered with "builds" and the days of turning down 200 dollar cb350 or a old yami twin falling in your lap are getting few and far between...
the bike on my c-list was kind of turd and the seller acted like he had the holy grail in his add ,and truth told...he just about does anymore...
oh and as far as happy...Dave....you make me happy...you got a fine mind Dave

  The point is not to store the bike in a museum (with the associated aromas  ) but also not to break it into pieces and store it in the garage. To a motorcyclist the idea is to actually be able to RIDE the thing. Take a look at the “modded” bikes on this and other sites and you'll find many either don't run at all or cannot be ridden more than a mile or two without either falling apart or making the rider too uncomfortable to go any further. Please don’t get me wrong; I'll be the first to say there are some beautiful exceptions, and I applaud the builders’ dedication, skill, and resources that went into making them so nice. Unfortunately though, for every 1 great build there seem to be 10 that end up as a pile of parts or worse. Ed

I enjoy the well done stock bikes also. Just like variety. I get tired of mega dollar HD or any of the bikes built or restored with unobtainable. I admit my Z does not see near the miles of my Concours but every mile puts a smile on my face.
