Nice! How rare are those Supertrapp pipes for that model? I wouldn't mind getting one for my F'er.

They are a bit rare, but not too bad. If you get the stainless steel complete system, you're gonna pay till your nose bleeds. This system is a combo of two 'Trapp systems; seems that the 'diverter' plate that is in the middle of the header at the collector tube portion (where the single pipe joins) is critical in adding about 10 bHp to the middle of the rpms ... no kidding! And the 'Trapps all have that diverter plate. I like the 'Trapps because they always fit really snug. Kerker's "look" right on green Kawasakis but the older pipes didn't fit worth a crap (I have two hanging off my bikes even as we speak). Yeah, the 'Trapp is a nice pipe, especially for a daily-driver.

In this pic you can see the diverter plate on the steel pipe, but what you can't see is the diverter plate on the chrome pipe ... but it's there. The chrome pipe came with the bike, but the cannister was stainless; so the black pipe looked 'right' and we went with that. (I don't care for chrome).

I had a complete SS 'Trapp system that I sold when I decided I was going to buy this bike ... it was a used pipe with a ding; granted it was the most cherry system that I have ever seen, but it was used. It pulled $550 on eBay  ... I was stunned. So, yeah, decent stuff is out there, but that SS 'Trapp system will cost ya if you run across one. ;)

Thanks for the info. I see the logic in that diverter plate. It makes the header act like a tri-y pipe by pairing up 1/4 and 2/3. Usually tri-y pipes are good for midrange power.

BTW I just saw a CB1100 F pop up for sale locally. I'm fighting the urge right now.

Great looking bike, BK. Those CB's do like to eat field rotors for sure. When they short, there goes the regulator too.

I do like the way the motors lean forward on the CB's.

"Mass-centralization" I wish Kawasaki did that sooner too... :(

Awesome job! Is that a stock paint scheme? If not, it's what it should have been. B)

Thanks a lot fellas! No, the paint job is not stock; the red/white stripes are factory, but Honda never put them on a black bike. The 1100Fs were red/white/blue or blue/white/red. The photos of my blue bodywork were the blue/white/red version. I still have the fuel tank with the flush filler cap welded in. I will get that one painted to match a blue/white/red pattern and then I'll have two complete sets of bodywork. I'd like to install CBR 6-spoke wheels, I've got the rear, but not a front ... yet. If I get the wheels then I'd also like to install an inverted front end, so, the plan with this bike is "daily driver" ... I only want to do what I can totally finish in a day. I doubt that I do anything to it in the near future ... this way I can get all crazy on my green bikes!!! ;)
