Couple things that didn't pan out: GSXR600 front mastercylinder and brake lever; still got 'em, but it just offered a couple more problems that I don't need at the moment ... it could make a comeback, we'll see.
KZ1000J headlight. Big honkin' round headlights are appealing to me and I do not really like the looks of the stock 900F Honda light, the bucket has a weird shape and it sticks out a bit too far from the front ... but - just like the gixxer m/c - the Honda piece fit correctly and works 'right'.

Long(er) range plans are to install CBR-F2/3 wheels (6 U-shaped spokes ... they look like Technomagnesios) painted white. The CalFab rear arm will easily accomodate the rear wheel, and I'd like to find a not-too-hard-to-install inverted front end. I have the rear wheel, the front will magically appear in my garage some day :laugh: . I'd also like to install one of those big honkin' GS1100/1150E headlights; with a different front clip that would be the time to tackle this goal.

hey guy's nothing wrong with honda's!! most likely where we all started!! i started off on 160 honda dream!! graduated to my brothers 450 honda chopper at age 16.. then got my first cb750 which the top end seized up after a couple yrs... then had it totally rebuilt from top to bottom... 820cc kit-mtc,nice street cam,heavy duty valve springs, and ton's of chrome.. drove it on the street for 20,000 miles.. giving the big kaw's all they could handle... just like a timex super dependable.. started taking it to the drags after picking up a couple kaws for the street.. the old honda would run 11.90's all day long... never ever broke while i had it... so no bad word's for honda's from me.. even had a cbx just before i got out of bikes in 87!!!!!!

very nice Honda! Like it a lot and most classic fans do It`s one of the absolute 80ies stars and you don`t need to hide behind Kawas with it. We say "Bolle" to the Bol d`or`s here and they`re highly respected in the classic scene here.

I`m wondering about the cool cast wheels on your bike - normally the Bolle`s have this ugly Comstar wheels. Can you pls tell me what wheels you have on your bike?

actually i believe the cb1100f is a pretty rare bike!! your bike will be really nice.. look forward seeing more pics...

Z-Igor: Those are actually stock 83 CB1100F wheels for the American bikes. Iknow that Canada got gold Comstars and I suspect everybody else did too after reading your post. I know what you mean about the Comstars ... looked kinda trick, but weren't. Kind of a typical Honda-thing to do ... like the wonky double cam chains (Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat the f*ck were they thinking!!!). But this is just one of those bikes that I have always lusted after. I had originally thought about going 'Spencer Replica' paint scheme, but after seeing the blue bodywork, I gotta see this one through ... and white F2/3 wheels ... shawiiiiiiiiing.
