Like some of the others said, nice and clean when I roll on the throttle. I'm not into too much speed, but I do like enough power to move me out of the way if I have to. And to do it quickly. I want a nice air cooled machine that will let me cruise anywhere I want to go, and that last as long cruising as I want her to. Has to have enough power though to take me plus whatever baggage I want to take with me, and a 6th gear would be nice to keep the RPMs down and the gas mileage up.
Oh, and I like carbs. Mainly because I don't know how to work on EFI. :)

You see Ricky Gadson run 9.08@155 on a stock bike with gearing and suspension mods at Atco, NJ a couple weeks ago? It took tons of work to run Prostock times of these numbers on a KZ1000 back in the day. 125mph in the 1/8 mile. Faster speed in the 1/8 than even the fastest Kawasaki KZ based GPZ1100 ran in the 1/4 mile!

Get back to me in 2042 if im still breathing and we'll see how many 2006-2012 zx-14s are still on the road!

Probably not near as many as the kz/z1s - the bottom ends just wont hold up that long - but man they make some power - plus the thread is about the perfect motor now - not in 30 years.

Longevity is the key to a perfect motor to me,ive got a couple old 1170 motors that were built back in the late 70s/early 80s that still have a lot of spunk left in them :woohoo:

One that gets 130mpg, makes over 500hp and power wheelies at 200mph. Close but screw the 130mpg, at those numbers I'd be happy with 10mpg.

Wheelies at 175mph (assuming the 280 on the gauge was kph) takes some balls. So does doing those runs in the rain. Not so sure about the brains bit, though. Still, that's some impressive speed/power.

Don't worry, he won't last long riding like that even without a bullet.
