I think we only saw 3 H2's and can't recall a green on but that's not to say I just didn't reconize it as an H2. There were a lot of the S3's, "400 triples". The gentleman I met was from southern Ohio, rides an Ltd 440 belt drive, sorry the name escapes me. We're definitely going next year, may even set up a booth.

Home from the relay and top end off the motor, broke timing chain and got 4 valves. I guess 500 lift springs with .470 lift intake and .430 lift exhaust is too much for a 75 Z1 stock timing chain. Parts getting ordered today and should have everything cleaned up and ready to go back together by the time the parts get here.

Yeah the HD Tsubaki chain would have been a better choice during the build...

Same time, could have been a lot worse than 4 valves and a banged piston dome... Engines can be rebuilt and you obviously have the skills... ;)

Not to mention while riding an engine lockup/crash & burn, not good, makes a truly bad day... :pinch:

Stock 75 Z1 cases, never been apart. I just done a top end on it and really not disappointed with the failure other than the time it chose to go. Kinda impressive and a kudo's for the guys that designed them, 37 year old motor and who knows just how hard of life it may have led before I got it. But anyway, an update.
Head is tore down, cleaned up and waiting on the valves. Should have the cases out and stripped down before nightfall. Clean them tomorrow and get started Installing trans and what ever else I can before parts get here. May even get the crank welded or just put a 1000 crank in it that is allready welded to save some time. If time allows I'll throw a fresh coat of paint on it to look like new again. Pics may be few, I hate this new camera but I'll do what I can when I take breaks.
