After I broke my leg in 3 places on my Suzuki, I bungied a cane to my KZ and kept riding. No real choice, life is not only dangerous but being born is ultimately fatal. Might as well have max joy in the process.

Riding is indescribable to anyone that does not ride. They just don't get it... I don't even have to attempt to describe the reasoning here, because I know you all already get it.

Don't you?....

I hire and persona11y fire over 1000 workers a year deal with cooperate greed red tape and injustice. If i werent able to have the wind in my hair and the solitude of the road I wouldn't have the strength or mental fortitude to put a smile on my face and say good morning to the overpaid incompitent people that sign my check!

The proverbial motorcycle question. Eighteen years ago I would said it was for the adrenaline. I was an adrenaline junkie. After many close calls, I felt I cheated death enough. I had by then experienced the death wobble at 130 m.p.h cutting accross Alligator alley, almost got nailed sliding through a wet intersection with a bald rear tire, death wobble on fast leaning turns, cut off a couple of times, flying at 145 m.p.h on my FJ1200 with my girlfriend on the back (she only weighed 90 lbs  ), and so on. Got to many free tickets to ride. So eighteen years ago I figured I had used my nine lives and hung it up. So now I'm back (or will be back). This time around it will be a whole new perspective. Won't be about speed and power and adrenaline. I will be happy just to feel the wind again and feel the freedom. To experience the fresh smell of a cool breeze at night or the fun of riding with another or other riders. Sure I will give it burst here and there. But I'm actually hoping it will be less risky this time around. I do have a family to look after. Just when you think you are out it pulls you back in.

Truth: on this planet there is, nothing, even close, to hitting an apex on my bike the open road with weather just right and nowhere to be soon...there are more important things one could be doing today...and that is the point......but think of doing something really really fun...really ...really...really...fun...riding a good bike ,on this ball of dirt on a nice day........

not for everyone i know..
but boy did we make out nice..living here with no one nearby looting and shooting at the moment ..is there anyone here, rode these years, has not near died on these things...less than a dozen times...no joke..dead...but hair of chinney chinney chin...no problem...escaped to do it again......i would have been happy with a dnf on more rides than i could even remember..a good kz with the air mixing 29 and a pipe...you could ride into the next world and almost do if you dont watch close.....would it have been better ...all close near calls....better to crash with young minds and muscles and dreams doing a buck and change half shit faced with friends...than to crawl into the nest decades dragging 10,000 more silent news casts of horror stuffed into the waking dream...i for sure knew much more then than now ....i knew stuff at 24 and super fast...that i bet i know now,,,,be the end of me....and would have been a much nicer crash to have to mop up.......i am 25 yrs over due...and smiling..i know there is nowhere legal to unwind these old things....bring it on...problem is for the reaper...i study up and lived this since?...tank wobbles after fresh road work--cats---balls----cell phones...and giant deer at 5 am dont get the reaper a cheap date like they did when we ran dunlop supersports and hi tops...

crash...man my wrist aint true pinned it for real and tossed my whole body off with tippy finger pads in my minds eye kissing the foxtails...thinking i was Schwantz like the days...since duran duran was getting laid

wayne rainey once commented at a race about a backmarker who went down...."how did he manage to crash going so slow"

old age and bikes is about a draw with youth imo....i am senile..... knee dragging

i figure by now im the silverback...the old bass in the pond...the buck that folks winged six years running...i'm gonna have to die when it's my time to die....

but if all the mountains....fell in the see....let it be....it aint me....

cause i got my own world to live through...and i....

aint gonna copy you.....

so if a six....turned out to be nine....
