but,,,,,,

when the GP hits town each year...along with all the Tards.....that show up in clubs and biker boyz r1's ect....there are some hard core riders mixed in...you can see by the gear or bikes wear, upgrades, damage,or just as they hit town to lodge the way a few ride , you know they are young but in the game,,,,,,seems like over late 20's though...most are 30 or better...serious riders on modern bikes are a whole different story....you can bet on that

Your talking about a modern sportsbike vs a dinosaur, come on, this kid must a been completely new to the bike, or couldnt ride worth a crap, although I have been in this same situation a group of guys I met up with on zrx the other day, one claimed to have spent 14,000 on his bike, all leathered out and looking like Mr. Moto Gp. and couldnt ride for crap, I left him and another guy on a gsxr which I know for a fact could eat my lunch,(me on a 750 katana) so its not all about hp.

In my early 30's and I love that noise...keeps me paying attention to the bike. Low/no-maintenance vehicles spawned the cell-phone/fast food/distracted driving generation of today. We need to go back to vehicles that need something adjusted every couple hundred miles - there would be much less congestion on the road B) and more work for service folks.

Maintenance on a new bike?.....

I'd safely say 98% of new bike owners don't perform their own maintenance. :(

He was on an insecting road side to the highway i was on.

I turned around behind him and saw the exhaust straight out
the back.

Today I turned the mix screw out some and got me a new kick up high.

Found out when I pulled the choke out some it picked up.

Then I stopped at the out of town store and bought a small sewing
kit.

It had a small scissor that made a perfect screwdriver.

Then the seat of my pants started sliding.

So now it's even more hang on tight and keep straight.

Or you'll fall and get run over by the r6 struggling behind you. ;)
