4500 kms on a learner permit in a month and a half! I can count on one hand how many days I haven't ridden. Life is good. :)

I ride mine quite a bit (at least once or twice per week except in January & February), but not his week; too much rain. BTW, you can let your friend on this site anytime, he seems pretty smart to me. Ed

I'm very sad about not being able to ride my bike, but I made the decision to do all this shit, and now I'm spending every last extra penny so she sees the road this year before the snow flies. Then after soem winter tinkering she'll be out and ready for action next summer, and good luck not being ridden bike, its been too long.

The last time she was going I couldn't afford insurance til September, which was when I started school again. I rode her every day to school, which got a little dicey in November in Newfoundland, but I didn't care. A buddy of mine has a KZ550 he might get rid of, I think it'd make a nice daily for me next year. After my 650 is done I will never start another project without having a functional bike ready, sucks too much not being able to ride.

At least 3 times a week, if my back permits more. Nov-March not so much as it's a bitch to get the snow tires on and off.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Was his name Jack? ...like in Jack Daniels? :P

No need to apologize, I belong to several boards and this one is tied with the ZRX board for the lack of ride stories, planned small group rides and such. I think it is a Kawasaki thing, well except for the Concours owners maybe.

The GSR forum members get together regularly to ride or even just to report a ride they took with photos and such of where they went.

Me, I've been on 6 this summer and have 2 planned the next two Saturdays with one being an overnighter. Plan on doing a couple more in October too before it gets crappy weather for the next 6-7 months!

If anyone thinks they might want to tag along with us, either or both next 2 Saturdays, just let me know and I'll get you the info, you ride your own pace, we ride mostly 2 lane curvy country roads so it's scenic and fun, we wait at stop signs/lights for the group to reform so those liking a more relaxed pace won't be left behind. The first ride will be in SE Indiana and the 2nd will be in Central Ohio.

Unfortunately I'm with Testa on this one where Phoenix set record high temps for the month of August this year...

Here's what it feels like to ride in this ridiculous BS temp...
1) Go get the wife's/GF's hair dryer.
2) Turn it on HIGH.
3) Put on your full face helmet and riding jacket.
4) Aim it at your face and upper body/chest for 30 minutes.

Do you still feel like riding/going for a ride?

Freakin sucks but good news is, only a couple more weeks and it will be 90-100F... :woohoo:
A couple more weeks after that and perfect riding weather once again...
