September SoCal Group Ride

If I leave today I should be able to make it to Santa Barbara by Sunday. And if I take the I-40W I can pick up Leon on the way! For a holiday some year I'd like to ship my bike down to Cali, fly down, drive around for a week, ship my bike again, and fly home.

I don't know what the riding is like in the Northeast Tyler; I imagine there are lots of good roads... but you can't beat the weather in Cali, and all the epic bike roads from highway 1 along the coast to 395 and all its connectors through the Sierra's. There really is fantastic riding from the Mexico boarder to Oregon. Come on out, you can crash at my place on your way through

Theres nothing fantastic around here, no long stretches anyhow. I'm going to try the cabot trail in nova scotia next summer, thats sposed to be good.

So??? What time do you want to meet in Filmore?

It depends on when the guys further away can get into Camarillo. MTB, I think you're coming the farthest from Redlands. When do you want to plan on arriving at Mike's, and is there anyone else from L.A./Orange/San Bernardino/Ventura counties going? I would say meeting in Fillmore 30 minutes after we leave Camarillo.

Yeah, I'd imagine I'm the farthest, unless Tri wants to ride down (hint, hint). I don't mind where we meet, nor what time- I can get on the road around 8 AM in Redlands.

If you leave at 8, that would put you in Camarillo at 10:20, probably a little sooner. We should be able to leave shortly after that, as long as Mike doesn't want to show off his bike collection too much We'll say leaving Camarillo conservatively at 10:45 putting us in Fillmore at 11:15. 11:15 in Fillmore work ok for you and your son Grant? I don't think anyone else is coming. I haven't talked to Craig to see if he feels like making the pilgrimage from Salinas to Santa Barbara. I stopped by Mikes shop today to try and get one of his bikes back up and running (he's in New Jersey all this week until Saturday). Hopefull I can finish it tomorrow, or Friday at the latest.

I'm planning on riding. I'll meet up with Grant & Alex b4 Fillmore.

What's the route from Mike's place to Fillmore? Lewis-118-xxxx Canyon - 23- into Fillmore? Looks like I can most likely make it. I'm about 6 min from Mike's. I've only met him so, looking forward to meeting a few more KZ bubba's.

Yeah, thats pretty much it from Camarillo to Fillmore. Looking forward to meeting everyone that is going. Looks like we should have 7 riders then?
